Hunger

Feeling hunger is a natural sensation.

We all know how it feels like when we missed a couple of meals. Our tummy growls like a scowling lion. Which signals to us that it’s time to drive to the nearest fast food restaurant to grab a burger.

But most of us never experienced the other kind of hunger.

The hunger for success.

We don’t experience it because we are always fed just enough so that we don’t feel any motivation to become massively successful. Just like a zoo animal.

The saddest part about life is to not live it. Most people are only operating at 20% of their full capabilities.

The true meaning to life is to attain long-term happiness, constantly pushing ourselves to our limits, live in alignment with our true purpose, and to improve the lives of the people around us.

Work Anywhere

Average people are only productive during work hours, and only in their office. To them, their contribution is based on their office hours.

Successful people work when and where they like. As long as they have their laptop or their smartphone with them, they can create value.

This is freedom.

Successful work for freedom. Average people work for a paycheck. Successful people work to changing people’s lives. Average people work for themselves.

The older successful people becomes, the more valuable they are. Because the value they create are retained and what they give to the world are acknowledged.

The older average people becomes the more disposable they are. Because they become more expensive for their employers to retain. They cry when the day they are told that they can’t be afforded comes. And are replaced by younger, cheaper, and speedier alternatives.

Start working on your success. Start building towards the day where you can choose to work anywhere you wish.

Lottery

Do you buy lottery?

Have you ever seen a successful person queueing up to buy lottery?

I haven’t.

The problem with having the habit of buying lottery contradicts every principles of being successful.

Successful people simply don’t possess a mindset of leaving their success solely to chance and luck.

Successful are extremely intentional about their success. They put in carefully thought-out plans and invest massive amount of time and energy into their projects.

Unsuccessful people, on the other hand, always prefer to choose the easy way out, even if the probability of success is 1 in 14,000,000.

If only they can have the same amount of optimism in their business and career.

Showing Up Every Day

Most people don’t show up on weekends. In fact, most people don’t show up at all.

Don’t be mistaken. Simply going to work to go through the motion isn’t showing up. Going to work with a strong desire to deliver results is.

Showing up shows your commitment. It differentiates you from the rest of the pack. But just showing up is not enough. We must give our all.

110%, at least.

Testimonials

99% of the people don’t keep testimonials. According to dictionary.com, a testimonial is:

a written declaration certifying to a person’s character, conduct, or qualifications, or to the value, excellence, etc., of a thing; a letter or written statement of recommendation. something given or done as an expression of esteem, admiration, or gratitude.

In short, a testimonial is a testament to your fine reputation. Keeping testimonials isn’t just for the mere purpose of satisfying one’s ego. It also serves as a protection.

Often, when people’s ethics and characters are being accused, they go into a rage. They become aggressive and defensive, seeking to clear their names.

What they fail to realize is that by behaving in such ways, their reputation is actually only being further deteriorated. Imagine how can your testimonials serve you in such times.

Beside being a safety net, testimonials can also be helpful when it comes to finding opportunities.

Often, people mistaken that testimonials must be tediously prepared. No, it doesn’t always have to be that way. Testimonials can also be in the form of an informal email, a direct message, or even hardcopy letters and cards.

The best way to receive a testimonial is to bring immense value to others. The second best way is to proactively give others testimonial first.

Express in words how has the person helped you and how much you appreciated his or her helpfulness.

And you must always remember to it genuinely and sincerely.
