Most basketball players, when they shoot a ball, their eyes are fixed on the ball to see whether it goes in or not.
Whether the ball goes in or not, to me, is secondary. What matters is the motion of shooting. People always tend to be more focused on the result.
Of course, the result is important. But a ball can be successfully scored through pure luck. This means that if you’re interested in scoring once a while, go ahead and focus on whether if the ball enter the net.
But if you’re serious about being a consistent scorer, then you will need to focus more on your shooting motion.
It’s the same for success. We can just win a game or two at the casino table but that doesn’t mean we are going to amass a fortune there.
To be successful, focus on your strategies and the actions that you implement. If done correctly and repeatedly, the results that you desire will come.
