People often mistaken that being rich and looking rich are the same.
Obviously, they are not. Being rich means to accumulate a sizeable amount of fortune. Looking rich often means to spend a sizeable amount of fortune on our appearance.
The latter usually contradicts from true wealth. After all, spending simply means less money. And the only things we should spend our money on, when we don’t have much to begin with, are our necessities and things that grow in value.
Most “shiny accessories” are merely liabilities disguised as assets.
